With the organization of the Environmental Information and Education Center and the support of the Rural Development Agency, the representatives of the agricultural cooperatives were trained.
Within the framework of the training, the participants received information on such issues as the cooperative - organizational form and principles; Review of the Law on Agricultural Cooperative and the Charter of the Cooperative; governance of the cooperative; Cooperative bond fund, mandatory bond and additional contributions; Distribution of profits among members.
Representatives of cooperatives from all over the country took part in the trainings, which were held in Imereti and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions, as well as in the capital.
The training was conducted by Konstantine Khutsaidze, head of the cooperatives development department of the Rural Development Agency.
The trainings were held within the framework of the project "Modernization of the Vocational Education System in Georgian Agriculture VET (Phase 3)", which is implemented with the funding of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and ensures the introduction of effective mechanisms for the transfer of information and knowledge.
