About 300 students took part in the competition, from which 18 winners and runners-up were identified.
The "Agroleague" competition aims to spread professional knowledge in the agrarian sector, promote the development of agrarian and environmental educational fields, and present successful students. The competition was held for the second time and covered the directions of viticulture, plant protection, beekeeping, forestry, fruit growing, ecology and biodiversity.
Gift vouchers and certificates were presented to the winners by Solomon Pavliashvili, the Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Lela Mamrikishvili, the National Program Officer of the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC), and Giorgi Nanobashvili, the Head of the Economic Development Division of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The author and implementer of the contest concept is the Agricultural Development Association (ADA) in partnership with the Center for Environmental Information and Education. The competition is held with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) within the framework of the ongoing project - "Modernization of the Vocational Education System in Georgian Agriculture (Phase 3)".
