The learning program within Agro School implemented by the EIEC in 2023-2024 has been completed.
Solomon Pavliashvili, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia; Giorgi Nanobashvili, the economic development team leader of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP); and Lela Mamrikishvili, the officer of the inclusive economic development program of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), met the students and handed over certificates to the graduates.
The lectures were held by the representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and by the invited specialists. Within the program, the students learned about rural development, the farmer's abilities, agriculture programs, farm management, the wine history and wine degustation, the Georgian grape varieties and the history of finding and protecting wild grapes in Georgia, Horticulture, horticulture, Georgian traditional beekeeping, aquaculture and fisheries, veterinary medicine and particularly dangerous infectious diseases of animals, livestock, and poultry, soil science, desertification and grazing, food safety, waste processing, climate-smart agriculture, the role of education in the agricultural sector, and agrotourism.
