Registration for the National Agricultural Olympiad 2024 has begun

Since 2021, Georgia's Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture has sponsored the National Agricultural Olympiad, which is organised by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). The Agricultural Development Association (ADA) is the author of the concept of the Olympiad idea. The partners of the Agricultural Olympiad are the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the Environmental Information and Education Centre of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

The fourth Agro-Olympiad registration opened on October 10 and will continue until November 10. In addition to online practice exams, the Olympiad's official website offers a free library with all the required books and other supporting materials. Interested parties can register and access comprehensive information there.
The target audience of the Agricultural Olympiad is:

• Specialists (higher or vocational education in the agricultural field)
• Students (agricultural universities and vocational schools)
• Farmers (knowledge and experience gained in agricultural activities)
• Schoolchildren (public/private schools and specialized colleges)

The Olympiad is held through testing and includes three stages: registration, online testing, and testing (with material tests). Various prizes and awards from the organizers and sponsors of the Olympiad are provided for the winners.

The main idea of the Olympiad is to evaluate the knowledge of the participants, identify the winners, and present them at the national level. The Olympiad is held in the areas of agronomy, food technology, forestry, wine technology, agricultural mechanisation, and veterinary medicine, as well as environmental protection.

Accordingly, the contest covers virtually all priority sectors and specialties that are most in demand in the employment market of the corresponding profile in Georgia.
The National Agricultural Olympiad is a unique competition based on agricultural knowledge in the country and the region in general. The Olympiad aims to popularise agricultural education and professions, create a qualified mechanism for assessing professional knowledge, raise awareness of agricultural fields among young people, and promote informal education in the agricultural field.
