The essay competition entitled “My Share of Clean Air” has formally concluded, and the winners have been announced.

The essay competition titled “My Share of Clean Air,” announced by the Environmental Information and Education Center (LEPL), has officially concluded, and the winners have been revealed.

Five students were selected as winners of the contest:

I Place – Andria Kristesiashvili
II Place – Lizi Lursmanashvili
III Place – Anita Gogoladze
IV Place – Aza Kakhniashvili
V Place – Matvey Palosyan

The evaluation process was carried out by a professional jury. The top five participants received vouchers and special gifts as awards.

The competition was conducted within the framework of the 2023–2025 Ambient Air Quality Management Plan, approved by Decree No. 1431 of the Government of Georgia on 7 August 2023. The plan encompasses the central zone of Georgia, specifically the municipalities of Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli, and Mtskheta.

More than two hundred students from grades VII–XII participated in the competition. These students represented twelve municipalities within the target regions: Khashuri, Kareli, Gori, Kaspi, Mtskheta, Tsalka, Tetritskaro, Dmanisi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, and Rustavi.

This essay competition stands as an important initiative aimed at enhancing environmental awareness and increasing youth engagement.

The Environmental Information and Education Center (LEPL) will continue implementing similar activities in the future, including informational meetings with schoolchildren and promoting environmental education nationwide.
