The 33rd training course, "Environmental Manager," has been completed at the Eiec of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
The training program, which was successfully completed by 15 participants, covers all the responsibilities of the private sector in the field of waste management and includes both theoretical and practical parts. The training is led by specialists in the field with many years of experience, which allows companies to have staff trained in accordance with the requirements of the law and modern standards.
According to the Waste Management Code, companies that generate more than 200 tons of non-hazardous waste, more than 1000 tons of inert waste, or any amount of hazardous waste per year, have an obligation to have a person responsible for waste management on staff.
Candidates nominated by legal entities, as well as any interested person, can participate in the training course created at the initiative of the Eiec. A total of 455 people have been certified by the Eiec.
