Admission to Ecolider School begins!

If you are a student interested in environmental issues, often participate in environmental projects and activities, or have a desire but so far have not been able to get involved in projects of interest to you, then you should definitely use this opportunity.

We are searching for young, motivated, and enthusiastic environmentalists to join in the School of Ecoliders and expand their knowledge in critical areas for environmental conservation.

To participate in Ecolider School, you need:

1. You must be a student in grades 9–12.

2. You should be concerned about environmental issues;

3. Be able to commit to four hours per week for our meetings;

4. Be able to connect to the Internet.

Please note, meetings will be held every Tuesday and Friday at 4 p.m. 

Due to the pandemic caused by COVID 19, "School of Ecoliders 2021" will be implemented remotely through the ZOOM platform. Regardless of the format, we promise interesting and interactive webinars.

Within the school, participants will learn about environmental issues, as well as develop critical thinking, self-defence, and teamwork skills, and most importantly, make friends across the country.

Within the program, you will cover the following topics:

* When, where, and why was the environmental movement/environmental protection established in Georgia?
* Environmental human rights
* The importance of waste management and existing best practices
* Presentation and communication skills
* The importance of biodiversity and protection mechanisms
* The significance of protected areas
* Reduce the risk of disasters caused by climate change.
* Reducing the risks of natural hazards
* The role of environmental education and public relations in environmental protection
* Submit presentation materials 

A variety of approaches will be used in the teaching, namely:

✅ Discuss real examples
✅ Role-playing games
✅ Discussions
✅ Interesting guests
✅ Field trips
✅ Visits

Upon completion of your studies, you will be awarded certificates and become a friend of the Eiec.

✅Please note that ecolider status will be granted only to participants who regularly attend lectures. Only three misses will be considered honourable.
