On July 28, 2022, at 12:00, a public discussion of the project "Setting up basic and recreational infrastructure in Tbilisi National Park" and the environmental and social management plan will be held in the building of the Mtskheta Municipality City Hall.
Within the project of the Government of Georgia, the "Programme for large-scale renewal of the Country", is planned to develop ecotourism in Tbilisi National Park, which will be implemented by the "Municipal Development Fund" of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia with the involvement of the Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
Within the large-scale project, for the first time in Georgia, an ecotourism space corresponding to the American standard will be organized in Tbilisi National Park with a network of ecotourism trails up to 300 km long, and accompanying infrastructure—a visitor center, three tourist cottages, and picnic areas.
The environmental and social management plan of the sub-project is available on the website of the Municipal Development Fund: https://bit.ly/3BkwA9i
