Public discussion of the project ‘’tusheti protected areas management plan’’

On March 10;2022, 12;00 a public hearing on the draft Tusheti protected areas management plan, will be held at the Agency of protected areas of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture (Address: G. Gulua 6).
The draft Tusheti Protected Areas Management Plan was developed by the Tusheti Protected Areas Friends Association with the financial support of the Caucasus Wildlife Fund (CNF) under the GEF/UNDP Georgia Protected Areas Financial Sustainability Project, the Tusheti Protected Areas Agency, and the Tusheti Protected Areas Administration. With the active involvement of NGOs and other relevant stakeholders.
A management plan has been developed for Tusheti State Reserve and Tusheti National Park, in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Georgia on the ‘’System of Protected Areas’’ and the methodology for developing the structure, content, and thematic parts of the ‘’Protected Areas Management Plan’’ approved by Order # 110 of the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources on March 12, 2014. In accordance with the Regulation on Stages and Procedures. The goal of the management plan is to set long-term goals for protected areas and appropriate management approaches.
