An online discussion of the project "Lagodekhi Protected Areas Management Plan" will be held on March 17, 2022, at 12:00
The draft Lagodekhi Protected Areas Management Plan has been developed by the Agency for Protected Areas and the Lagodekhi Protected Areas Administration with the participation of local people, non-governmental organisations, local self-government and other relevant stakeholders.
The management plan was developed with the support of the Caucasus Wildlife Fund (CNF), in the framework of the GEF-UNDP project "Promoting Financial Sustainability of Protected Areas of Georgia", with the support of a team of consultants from the Lagodekhi Protected Areas Friends Association and the Georgian Protected Areas Friends Network.
The management plan has been developed in accordance with Georgia's Law on Protected Areas and the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection's Statute, and was approved by Order # 110 of March 12, 2014, "On the stages and procedures for preparing the management plan, content and thematic parts." The management plan's goal is to establish long-term objectives for the Lagodekhi Protected Areas and to define the steps necessary to attain them.
