Registration for the professional training programme "Forest Inventory and Taxation" is possible from April 11 to April 20.
Duration: 12 weeks
Prerequisite: A bachelor's degree in forestry and/or a related field

Upon successful completion, graduates will receive a state-recognized certificate and be employed at the National Forestry Agency.
What will we learn within the framework of the "Forest Inventory and Taxation" programme?
The goal of the programme is to train forest taxing specialists (forest taxation) who will carry out forest inventory fieldwork and, after the course, will be able to:
• Conducting measurement and evaluation work in the forest
• Data collection, processing, presentation, and analysis in an electronic programme
• Participate in the planning of forestry activities (forest use, forest maintenance, forest restoration, etc.) and the preparation of forest management plans.
What are the stages of forest inventory?
• Working with cartographic materials
• Collecting data on the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the forest in field conditions
• Analysis and camera processing
• Appointment of forestry measures and creation of documentation, including the preparation of the final inventory product (a forest management plan)
learning process:
The duration of the programme is 12 weeks and includes both theoretical and practical parts.
• Theoretical part: programme participants will undergo theoretical training at the EIEC, which includes lectures three days a week. After the completion of the theoretical part, the trainees will be given an exam for the first definitive assessment.
• Practical part: the participants will undergo training in the forests under the management of the National Forestry Agency for 10 days in Mtskheta Municipality and Bakuriani.
• On the 12th week, the trainees will take a final exam, the results of which will determine whether they receive a state-recognized certificate.

"Forest Inventory and Taxation" is carried out by the EIEC in cooperation with the National Forestry Agency and with the support of the Professional Skills Agency.
The programme was developed and the right to implement it was obtained with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation within the project, "Promotion of Education on Agricultural and Environmental Protection topics in the Process of Promoting the Modernization of Professional Education Related to Agriculture in Georgia".
