Public discussion of the draught law "On Living Genetically Modified Organisms"

The public discussion will be held at the Environmental Information and Education Centre (EIEC) under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia. Address: Marshall Gelovani Avenue No. 6.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has prepared a draught of the Law of Georgia "On Living Genetically Modified Organisms" on Amendments to the Law of Georgia.

The amendments envisaged by the draught law imply the admissibility of the import and re-export of live genetically modified organisms with the goal of processing them into animal feed for the development and promotion of new economic activities.
