The public consultation on the ''green book of climate change legislation

On April 26 of this year at 11:00, a public consultation on the "Green Book" of the Climate Change Law will be held at Telavi State University, named after Yakob Gogebashvili (address: Georgian University St. N1).

The Georgian climate change legislation, the ‘green book," was implemented by the Georgian Parliament and the Natural Resources Committee in cooperation with the EIEC and with the support of the Westminster Democracy Fund (WFD) and the United Kingdom. 

The aim of the ‘Green Book’’ is to begin the discussion and consultations regarding the Georgian legislation on climate change, because of this process, the issues that might need to be taken into consideration in the project of ‘’climate change legislation will be outlined.

The Green Book’’ of climate change legislation covers international obligations undertaken by Georgia,existing national policy, the analysis of the climate change impact on Georgia, future risks,and climate change international examples.
